Why do I get the following error when opening FactoryTalk View Studio Enterprise, Site Edition, or Machine Edition?

    FactoryTalk View Studio is unable to open the selected application, you do not have permission to read and list children for the local directory.

Reconfigure FactoryTalk Directory from:
    Start -->All Programs -->Rockwell Software -->FactoryTalk Tools -->FactoryTalk Directory Configuration Wizard.
    Go to Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features and repair the Factory Talk Services Platform.
    If none of these suggestions work, please call Technical Support for further investigations. They can walk you through a reset procedure.
